administrative proceedings, mediations, negotiations, in trials in state and
federal courts, and in appeals. Attorney Glazer has also worked with
Attorney Font on numerous military law cases and criminal law cases at both
trial and appellate levels, and on various military law administrative
cases, including conscientious objector claims.
She has represented clients as plaintiffs in cases
involving sex and race discrimination, age discrimination, disability
discrimination, sexual harassment, civil rights claims, police brutality
claims, tenure and promotion issues, contract matters, severance issues, and
wage and hour issues. She has achieved successful results against Fortune
500 companies, universities, and public as well as private employers. She
has also represented clients in personal injury and medical malpractice
litigation. In the family law arena, Attorney Glazer has represented clients in
divorce cases ranging from simple and uncontested to highly complex and
extremely contested. She has also represented clients in child custody
cases, relocation of children cases, restraining orders, pre-nuptial
agreements, enforcement of judgments, modifications, contempt, will contests
and cases involving rights of homosexual parents. Attorney Glazer represented a
lesbian mother in Doe v. Doe, 16 Mass. App. Ct. 499 (1983), a leading
case establishing that the homosexuality of a parent does not disqualify
that parent from having joint legal and physical custody of the child.
Her work frequently requires her to analyze a multitude
of documents, including medical records and financial records, and she often
consults and works with experts from a variety of fields to effectively
represent her clients. She has also worked with other attorneys as
co-counsel on a variety of cases, and has served as a mentor to another
attorney at the request of the Board of Bar Overseers.
Attorney Glazer has experience drafting pre-nuptial
agreements, separation agreements, employment agreements, and settlement
agreements.
In the earlier years of her practice, Attorney Glazer was
a speaker at continuing legal education seminars. Raising two children
limited her extracurricular activities; however for the past three years
Attorney Glazer has been a member of a hospital clown troupe and in her
after-work time has entertained hospitalized children and their families at
Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Medical Center, Franciscan Children’s
Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and at various events for
homeless children and for children with cancer and diabetes.
Ms. Glazer graduated from Wellesley College (A.B., 1970)
and from Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 1975). As a law student she
was an intern during two summers for the Lawyers Military Defense Committee
in Heidelberg, Germany. Attorney Glazer is a member of the bar of the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme
Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of
Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the
United States Supreme Court.
